Water – one of the basic building blocks of life on our planet.  Without it, you can’t survive for more than a few days.  The survivalist must be proficient in locating water, purifying it if necessary and storing it properly.  Acquiring and storing potable water should be in the survivalists top three skill set.  There is simply no substitute for this precious commodity.

While modern day science has brought us many advances in filtering and chemical treatment products, the survivalist should not only rely on technology for his/her water supply.

With water we not only re-hydrate our bodies, but we also cook food, clean and disinfect.  Where there is life, there must be water.  Besides knowledge and training, water is your number one survival resource.

Luck is a very thin wire between survival and disaster, and not many people can keep their balance on it.
